Vote ME! print run finished
almost 6 years ago – Fri, May 18, 2018 at 12:45:08 AM

Good morning everyone

Sorry things have been a little quiet over the last couple of weeks. This is because there has been no news of any significance (I mean, ordering dice and game mats is not particularly exciting). However, this will change over the next two weeks as all the different components get finished.

Critically, I heard back from the game printers yesterday, and the print run has been completed. I am now filling in all the paperwork, organising shipping etc to get them delivered to Redwell HQ. I will keep you all updated when the game arrives here, and also the dice and the game mats.

Thank you to everyone who has filled in their survey. There are only a couple of you left who haven't answered. I am going to lock down the answers at the end of the day on Saturday 26th May 2018, so there is still time to order some add-ons.

Until next time

Pledge Manager, Late backers, and Awards
about 6 years ago – Wed, May 02, 2018 at 04:49:15 PM

Hello all backers

By now you should have been sent an e-mail by Backerkit, who are dealing with the Kickstarter survey and collecting delivery charges for us.

We now know the final weights of the game and game mat, so can charge for delivery accurately. If any of you are having difficulties with the survey and Pledge Manager, please e-mail us at [email protected] and we can help you.
The pledge manager is also an opportunity for you to add to your pledge, if you so wish.

In addition, we are now able to take Late Backer orders for the game and game mat, if anyone missed out during the campaign.

Finally, some really awesome news. Vote ME! has been nominated in the Imagination Gaming Awards 2018, in their best literacy game category, as well as their other standard categories. We talked to the lovely people at Imagination Gaming at AireCon, where they were running the family gaming area, and have given them a prototype copy of Vote ME! They will also be running the family gaming area at UK Games Expo, where they will have several copies of the final game for people to play and enjoy.

Imagination Gaming are an organisation that has been going since 2007, whose ethos "is all about learning and challenge through fun and play" and work with schools and other organisations throughout the year. Their awards have been running for a number of years, and we feel quite proud as a little company in Sheffield to be one of the nominees.

Wishing you all a pleasant end to the week.

Vote ME! Campaign over - Thank you!
about 6 years ago – Sun, Apr 29, 2018 at 12:45:24 PM

Hello Everyone.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who backed and bringing this campaign to a successful conclusion. Sorry for not posting an update sooner - sleep and parental duties have been the cause of the delay.

So, what happens next?I am putting together the backers surveys to send out. They ought to go out in the next few days.
Updates will be posted over the next few weeks to keep you all up-dated on the status of the game, the game mats and exclusive Party dice.

All the best

Examples of Speeches
about 6 years ago – Tue, Apr 24, 2018 at 12:25:46 AM

Last few days left of this Kickstarter project, and we are solidly in the funded category now.

However, a way to go before the first stretch goal unlocks where someone could win either a copy of the game or a copy of the game mat!

We have also been making a few videos where we have got Tom to play his own game, and give speeches as if he was in one of several different political situations. He has shuffled and picked the Policy card and Theme card at random each time, then has to give a speech. In a real game, if you gave a speech first last round, you wouldn't next round and so have time to think. However, as it's Tom's game, we didn't give him any thinking time and made him go "first" for each speech.

Let us know in the comments your thoughts, and whether Tom should give up the day job and run for office?

Speech 1 - Tom for Mayor of Sheffield?

Speech 2 - Tom for Mayor of London?
